Our Pharmacist (s) and Certified Diabetes Educator can provide diabetes education for your caregivers.  You will receive a comprehensive “Diabetes A through Z” powerpoint presentation, supplemented by video demonstrations and hands on training including:

 

  • Diabetes signs and symptoms
  • Complications and how to avoid them
  • Hyperglycemia and Hypoglycemia
  • Medication management including oral medications and insulin
  • How to properly use an insulin pen
  • How to properly use a blood glucose monitor
  • Interpreting blood sugar results
  • Healthy food choices & How to read a food label
  • Food Pyramid
  • Eating out
  • Physical activity & Staying Healthy
  • Treatment options

    *Special requests as per your facility requirements*

EACH STAFF MEMBER WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION FOR 2 HOURS OF DIABETES EDUCATION SIGNED BY
